The Ocean Isle area offers something for everyone's interest! The focus on the island is relaxation; whether it's a day at the beach or sitting on a rental cottage deck catching up on reading or spending time with the family. But once you're ready for more, it's waiting for you.

Ocean Isle Community Center

This town-sponsored center located at 44 East 1st Street has free Children's programs each weekday during the summer. These are fun-filled events like arts and crafts, buried treasure hunts, beach games, and story time. There is free public parking and restroom facilities.

Friday Night Concerts

Free concerts are held between Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends at the Museum of Coastal Carolina parking lot-folks bring chairs starting at 6:30 pm to listen to a night of music under the stars. Concerts are running every week beginning May 24th through September 20th!

The Ocean Isle Beach Summer Market

Pure Markets is excited to announce the Ocean Isle Beach Summer Market. It is located between West Second Street and West Third Street next to town hall. The Market will be weekly on Tuesday beginning June 2nd through August 25th from 9 am until 1 pm.

Shallotte River Swamp Park

Are you ready for adventure at the beach? Whether it's the largest, longest Zipline Tour on the eastern seaboard, a full 53-element Aerial Adventure Park, or a serene Eco Boat Tour, adventure is waiting for you at the Swamp Park. Call 910-687-6100 or visit their website for reservations.

Museum of Coastal Carolina

The Museum of Coastal Carolina is located at Ocean Isle. Great for the kids. Standing exhibits on the beach tides, local animals and fish. Sunset Properties is proud to be a sponsor of the 'touch tank' where kids can see and feel some of the creatures of the sea. Watch for special speakers and events that the museum hosts throughout the year. One of the regular events is a weekly Turtle Talk at the museum during the summer on Monday nights at 7 pm. We have an active turtle program-in 2012, there were 24 turtle nests on Ocean Isle Beach, and 8 on Sunset Beach. Come learn about the turtles-admission is free with regular admission to the Museum.

Ingram Planetarium

Ingram Planetarium is a state of the art facility located on the mainland in Sunset Beach. It includes a theater for rotating shows about the sky and a science and education center and a gift shop. Click on their link for show schedules.

Silver Coast Winery

Novant Brunswick Medical Center (Hospital) is located on US 17 approximately 30 minutes north of the island.
