Beach Renourishment

In a continuing effort to keep our beach in good condition, the next beach renourishment project will begin in April 2010. Around 510,000 cubic yards of sand will be placed on the East End of Ocean Isle beach. Renourishment helps protect the homes along the beach while also providing recreational space for visitors. This project will place additional sand from Shallotte Boulevard to Tarboro Street.
